Comments from our visitors....

Yasoo Pete & Phil

It may have have been 11.30pm and pitch black, but as soon as we arrived at the villa I opened the front door, the lights came on and I remembered that overwhelming feeling that I knew this villa was even more outstandingly beautiful from two years ago, seeing the new furnishings pictures, lamps, mirrors, figurines and then walking to the window opening the door and seeing the most breathtaking night time view over the bay again was truly magical, the pool is lit, the garden lights in between the plants and olive trees and then the view of the bay lit up it is the most wonderful scene. It is truly unforgettable.

Peter & Phillip I did not think it was possible to improve on perfection, but you two have certainly excelled once again.

The garden both at the front of the villa and around the pool now has the most beautiful planting. The extended wall and lavish plants now gives a lovely secluded garden, you are going to have a lovely crop of olives when all the trees are ripe for picking. The new patio furniture is so relaxing to sit around especially of an evening. The steps down to the pool are wonderful, you can lie back and float on top of them to cool off.

You have changed so many accessories inside the villa I can see why you are interior designers as you know how to choose and place such wonderful pieces of art for each room in the villa (can I suggest one tip for my future visit, can you put tags on all the accessories as to where I can buy them from, I can then go online and order the lot and have it all shipped over!!).

Both James and Lewis were kept well entertained by the great variety of DVDs and your book collection is wonderful, the new music station with the i pod docker is fantastic.

Our welcome hamper is so generous of you, we were so grateful to be able to have a wonderful selection of cheese, ham, bread , milk, tea, coffee, water, etc and above all a bottle of bubbly thank you so much it truly was a midnight feast.

I would just like to say as well how much the local supermarket and cafe at the top of the road has improved since our last visit. There is a new deli and meat counter where they stock a great range of Greek cheeses, cold meats, wonderful kebabs and beefburgers for the BBQ, also fresh bread baked daily. Oh and the shopping trolley you now provide for guests is a godsend.

We visited Lindos in the evenings and as usual found even more beautiful rooftop restaurants but by far I think our favourite is "Dysonisos", it is now so popular we had to wait even though we had booked a table but I can assure you the wait is certainly worth it.

We also visited Lardos, yourselves and Kim had recommended the restaurant "Roulas" and I can honestly say we were not disappointed, both James and Lewis had the infamous "rack of ribs". When we arrived at the restaurant Teo (one of the waiters) asked us where we were staying, as soon as we said "Villa Kalliopi" his reply was "Bravo Bravo, Peter & Phillip they are two fantastic guys, please say hello to them and tell them to visit us soon".

I also remember when we first visited in 2008 is that when I rang Lindos taxis none of the taxi drivers knew where we were but what a difference 2 years makes, the villa is infamous, everyone of them needed no instructions as to how to get to us and within 5 minutes they are at the villa.

Kim your property manager along with Steve the pool guy and the girls who came to mow the lawn were, as ever, so attentive to our every need.
Kim joked and would like me to tell you how hard she has worked at keeping the lawn so lush and green as it looks fabulous considering the heat, you need to congratulate her! You are so lucky Pete and Phil to have a lovely team of people looking after your villa, Kim is so attentive to the the guests needs and also to the maintenance of the villa. She and another lady spent a good hour last Friday cleaning the glass panels at the bottom of the garden, I have never seen anyone perspire as much, mind you it must have been in the high 80's!

Thank you both so much for allowing us the privilege of staying at this place of beauty. I just want to convey to anyone who is thinking of taking a holiday here, if you have a list of 10 things you want to do before you die then add visiting VILLA KALLIOPI onto it, as myself and my family know it really is a piece of heaven.

You both deserve every respect for what you have created, we are very lucky to have found you both.

We will be back (don't forget tags on everything please!).

Efharisto

Love

Julie, Mark, James and Lewis xxxx

Yasoo to the two of you!!

We got back at 7am Sunday morning with, yet again, more treasured memories of Villa Kalliopi.

This year Dad went for the all over shade of BURNT TOAST, sitting on the new top step in the pool and then the bottom step for REHYDRATION! Whoever came up with the idea of the pool steps wants a big pat on the back, we all used it. It was fab! At the end of the day the one thing that stood out above all were the new steps in the pool. INSPIRED.

The new features for this year are very tasteful indeed. And BBC World News on the TV, well Dad was blown away, for him it was POOL vs TV "hmm which one first"!

Linda loved the new mirror in the upstairs hall - admiring her tan!

The pool man turned up Mon / Wed / Friday. He was a really nice guy who took time to talk. Kim (property manager Savvaidis & Associates) was extremely helpful again this year.

We all loved it and are looking forward to booking the villa again for next year.

Let me just finish off by saying what you two have in Rhodes is not just a luxury villa but a great big slice of heaven!

YAMAS !!!!!!!

Hi Peter/Phillip

First of all I would like to thank you for letting us stay at your beautiful villa!

As you know, when people look on web sites for holidays it doesn't always look like the picture you see on the PC, but when we arrived we could not believe that all what you had put on to your web site was true to the finest detail!! It was truly heaven and we were all so pleased that we chose your villa to spend our summer holidays.

Dealing with yourselves was very friendly and you were so helpful. All the information you provided for was also helpful. I used the car hire company you suggested (Payless Car Hire, Rhodes) which was a bargain compared to other car hire firms. If anyone reading this wants car hire I suggest this one. Stathis was the man we dealt with and was so friendly and the prices great value. The directions you gave me from the airport to the villa were easy to follow (even through the road works you advised us about). The journey only took about 40 mins.

When we arrived at the villa we were all blown away. It was my mother and fathers first trip abroad so to see there faces light up when they walked through the front door into the villa and then into garden with the great view of the bay, it was such a great feeling to me and my wife!! I knew then that I had picked the right place for us all.

My mum and dad are keen gardeners and they could not keep there eyes off what wonderful plants you have and how well they looked with all the heat you have here. They said you must have a good gardener.

The hamper you left us we were most grateful for, as you know when you get to your destination you do not want to go shopping immediately and this was just what we wanted!! We opened the bottle of bubbly you left for us and we admired all of our surroundings.

The pool was a breath of fresh air to have - me and the kids loved it (see picture above)!!

At the bottom of the road from the villa, just 10 mins walk away we had great fun with the water sports in Vlicha Bay (see pictures below)

Image: The family enjoy all the water activities in Vlicha Bay, just below the villa.

Kim (property manger from Savvaidis & Associates) was most helpful. On the first day we had a problem with the air con in our bedroom so I phoned Kim and the very next day it was sorted out and fixed. The pool man with the Mohican, Steve, was a nice bloke and we always had a chat when he was around to look after your pool - which was every couple of days.

The book library was of interest which we all used, except the kids who loved the PlayStation 3 - to have this was good for them (and me especially!!)

I could go on about the villa but to people reading this all I can say is that if you want a great holiday in Rhodes, near Lindos then you should experience this villa with your own eyes and, trust me, you will not be disappointed!!

I would advise every body should get a car hire as there is much to see and do on. The car was very handy to have as we went to Rhodes old town and other destinations around Rhodes.

The photograph below taken outside one of the many shops in Rhodes Old Town:

Image:

The water park in Faliraki was one of our visits and is ok for 20 Euro each. On one of the days we also visited Prasonisi where there are two different sea's that meet on one sandy beach - it was very strange to see one sea rough and the other sea very flat and calm (picture below)

Image:

On 12 out of the 14 evenings we dined out and we have to say on all of the nights out we were not disappointed! There are a four places that I would like to suggest nearby: Firstly the "Acropolis Roof Garden Restaurant" and "Caesar's Bar & Restaurant" - both in Lindos and the two are very good venues with a good choice of food. "Roulas Restaurant" in Lardos is a family business with very good food. But the one that did it for me was the restaurant that you told us about and that was "Melenos Hotel" in Lindos - if you want an exceptional meal, good wine, great service and stunning views of the sea, Lindos town and the Acropolis then I would go here all the time!!

Some other pictures we would like to share:

Well I hope to be in touch in the near future as myself and Jackie would also love to experience Villa Poppy. Thank you again to you both!

Hi Peter and Philip, and sending many warm regards from your beautiful Lindos villa too! We arrived home today in Finland at 18.00 hrs!

The trip was wonderful. Everything went very well. Your holiday home was superb! My mother in particular fell in love with the place and dropped a few tears when she had to leave the place this morning... :)

Of course we others loved it too, the atmosphere there was so warm and so sophisticated. The neighborhood, the views and the decorations of the house are very beautiful. Nothing is cheap, nor nothing too much. The photo of your cat Sophie is cute, as our family loves cats.

The bedrooms were lovely and the upstairs toilet/shower with it's light blue shades of color and the ceramic bowls are so beautiful.

The garden was wonderful, green and flourishing, even though it was very dry everywhere. The watering system seems to work well.

In the kitchen there was everything we needed. At first we didn't see the coffee maker (and were a bit shocked because we drink lots of coffee ... :) but then we found it in the cupboard!!

The welcoming hamper was so nice, full of delicacies. We didn't have to run to the shop right away. Thanks!

Our children enjoyed the pool so much!!! And we adults too! I usually don't like swimming so much, but the pool was so clean, warm and there was the privacy of being only me with my family that made me swim 1-2 hours a day.... of course the heat was also a good reason to escape to the pool.

Oskari loved the PS3. Without that he wouldn't even had come to Greece with us... So it was frequently used. Thank you.

We found DVDs which had Finnish subtitles. We watched for instance "Mamma Mia" on Blu-Ray, which is Milja's favourite film!

Image:

We ate dinner three times at the villa and the rest of the evenings at restaurants. A nice place in the centre of Lindos was the "Mythos" restaurant. We got a table in the terrace with a wonderful view over the acropolis at the time of sunset. The food was delicious and the service fine. One evening we ate at the "Savvas grill" restaurant in Lardos, not very charmful but the food was great, the staff very friendly and the price was unbelievable low. We also had dinner at the "Lindos View Hotel" at the Thea restaurant's terrace, it was also nice, very fine and elegant and food was good.

In Lardos we also played mini golf. The course was green and beautiful and the man at the cash desk was friendly and could even speak some Finnish. Also the instructions sheet was in Finnish.
On Sunday we visited the Tsambika Monastery. It was so hot, but we climbed slowly and drank lots of water. It was worth climbing - the view was stunning! Afterwards we had some Greek salad, tzatziki, bread and frappes at the below restaurant and then drove to the lovely Tsambika beach.

Me and my mom had also the time to read our books at the villa. The kids and Jouni enjoyed more of pool and the sun.

And a very nice and small detail... :) I love the Korres cosmetics, which is Greek and very expensive here in Finland. I found a little pharmacy in Lindos which sold the Korres products 50 per cent cheaper than in Finland and I was so happy! You may believe I bought a bagful of them!!

Image:

We'll surely get in touch with you soon to go back to Lindos for another awesome holiday. We have already planned that maybe in two years? Perhaps we'll need to book soon as your dates are selling out so fast :)

We have also told many of our friends about your villa.

It was such a lovely holiday, and will stay always in our memories as one of the best holiday weeks of our lives, thank you.

Hi Peter and Phillip,

Just to let you know that we had a wonderful time at the villa.

The villa is fantastic! Thanks ever-so for the hamper and we were also touched by the lovely card that you left us.

Weather and the location is spectacular!

The gardens and the pool were beautiful and very well kept. We have no complaints at all!

We met Kim (property manager Savvaidis & Associates) who was simply lovely!

A thoroughly enjoyable stay made more so by the lovely decor and the fantastic facilities that you provide. Thank you.

Thank you both for providing your villa and helping to make such a memorable holiday.

Back to reality and a big pile of washing!!!!

Kind regards,

David, Alex, Bryan, Heidi, Mikey and Jo. xxxxxxxxxx

Hi Peter and Philip,

We have had a fabulous holiday! The villa is fantastic. I lay in bed on the first morning, before our hire car arrived, thinking how we would carry enough bottled water from the local supermarket to last the 5 of us for the day and - hey presto - downstairs is the answer in your shopping trolley you provide for guests. You have thought of everything!

The welcome pack was just the job and it had everything that we needed to keep us going when we arrived at 10pm at night. Abigail loved the soaps - and the champagne was a lovely treat.

The views from the villa are stunning and the garden is so well cared for, Mum and Shirley (a.k.a "Rosemary and Thyme") are keen gardeners and they tried to name all the plants whilst we were there and I am not sure that they succeeded! Your banana tree has produced a large crop of bananas - it was certainly a talking point!

The taxis from the airport were perfect, the drivers so friendly and helpful. The car hire worked a treat too with Stathis (from Pay Less Car Hire) delivering and collecting the car as arranged - and the price could not be beaten.

We found it hard to leave the villa during the day as it is so beautiful and has everything that you need for a relaxing holiday. We all loved the pool, even Mum and Shirley went in most days. Martin enjoyed reading up on his golf skills from a book in your library!

We are very grateful to you for letting us also have the small pre wedding gathering at the villa, it was the perfect start to the family wedding and enabled the two families to get to know each other prior to the big day.

The wedding itself was everything that the bride and groom dreamed of and it went like a dream thanks to the superb planning. We had such a lovely day and thanks to your neighbour Tim, who was at the chapel, we have a lovely DVD recording which he took on our camera. The reception at "Med East" was excellent as the sun dropped to reveal a full view of the illuminated acropolis, the food was superb and the party danced away until the early hours of the morning.

This picture was taken on the lawn of the villa just before we set off for the wedding:

Image:

We enjoyed eating out in particular at "Roulas" the food is delicious and the family are so friendly. We did eat in some evenings using your lovely barbecue area which is perfectly placed.

Kim (villa property manager) and her staff, including Caroline, have been more than helpful when we were staying at the villa. A fault developed on the washing machine but Kim soon had the problem fixed.

Back to reality now! It has been a pleasure dealing with you, you made everything so easy for us, we have had the most perfect holiday and to have your daughters wedding celebration in such lovely surroundings just could not be beaten.

Most kind regards

Sally, Martin, Abigail, Shirley and Cynthia.

Hello Peter & Philip,

In addition to our e mail we sent from the villa, using the wireless facilities at the villa, we would like to add further comments to let you know what a great time we had for the whole week! This was not only because of the beautiful weather, but especially because of your beautiful villa!

Every day we discovered a new detail we hadn't noticed before. And every day there were new flowers coming to life in the garden. We liked your use of colours - and in the bathroom downstairs the "disco" shower lights were a special treat!

We loved the new shelf / seat you have built in the pool, here are two of us enjoying it:

Image: Enjoying the new baja seat inside the swimming pool - May 2010 Villa Lindos Kalliopi

On our second day Kim (property manager for Savvaidis & Associates) came along to say hello. Kim we found to be very friendly and we had a short talk about the villa etc...and she explained everything about the people who work maintaining the garden and the pool.

We were out a lot exploring the island too! But back at the villa (or "home" as we called it) a few times we had dinner in the garden and used the barbecue - as you can in this photo:

Image: Barbecue time at the villa! May 2010

We had a great time at the villa and we thank you for that and for the good services and information you provide. We will be surely recommending the villa to our friends.

Greetings!

Jan, Siebrig, Marcel & Geneviève

We welcome the opportunity to give our opinion of Villa Kalliopi. We have also taken many wonderful photos of this holiday and thought we’d share just a few with you...

The Villa Kalliopi owned by Philip and Peter is second to none. Firstly, for arrival, the welcome hamper being a great idea and gratefully received! The quality of fixtures and fittings is top notch, together with the furniture, both indoor and outdoor, which is stylish and very comfortable.

Downstairs in the villa, we found the rooms to be spacious with a well equipped kitchen for all your needs. A fabulous HD TV with many of the blu-ray DVDs, plus PlayStation 3 etc.. and importantly, from our point of view, we were able to receive BBC News on the satellite channels at any time of day.

Philip and Peter had provided many reading books to suit all tastes as well as a great selection of tourist books and restaurant leaflets etc... for your perusal and journey planning.

Two fabulous full glass doors accessed the outside which had a great undercover eating area as well as a welcoming lounge area - which was our personal favourite space. We often relaxed here with the dappled sun streaming through the attractive slats of the overhead cover, either during the day or in those balmy evenings with a nice glass of wine - perfect prior to dining out later in the night.

Image: Angela and Ian enjoy dusk before dinner at Villa Lindos Kalliopi

Upstairs, the 2 other bedrooms were the ‘creme de la crème’! Spacious and attractive with patio doors leading out onto another sun terrace where you could relax and just breathe in the lovely view! The bathroom was large, beautifully tiled and had coordinated decoration.

Special mention has to made of the view which spanned across Vlicha bay and very pleasant to see at any time of day. The pool was large and attractive and was surrounded by the garden with the most exquisite plants which were a delight to see.

Outdoors the facilities also allowed us to create beautifully prepared lunches at your gorgeous villa.

A hired car is a must to see this lovely island and all it has to offer and 1 week is by no means long enough. However, being just a short drive to Lindos meant most nights we dined there. This picture we took of Lindos at twilight with view of the Acropolis:

Image: A few minutes drive away from Villa Lindos Kalliopi is the stunning town of Lindos, home to the magnificent Acropolis of Lindos. Evening shot taken by Ian and Angela.

Our favourite restaurants in Lindos are Amfithea, Odyssia and Symposio, Enigma in Pefkos and Roulas in Lardos. This picture is me about to eat the wonderful mezze dish at Roulas restaurant:

Image: Angela enjoys a delicious mezze platter at Roulas restaurant in nearby Lardos

Best beach was Tsambika beach – golden sand gently shelving into the clear sea.

Best sights were Lindos (and the Acropolis) and the town itself! We also enjoyed Rhodes town & its harbours and seeing the many pavement artists. Also in Rhodes town we visited the Odos Ippoton -the ‘Street of the Knights’. This is a picture of Ian at the start of the street, leading up to the Palace of the Grand Masters:

Image: In Rhodes Old Town villa guest Ian stands at the threshold to the medieval and gothically styled Odos Ippoton, a street used to accommodate the 14th century knights when they visited the island.

This picture is of me walking through the Valley of the Butterflies, a beautiful place to visit on the western side of Rhodes:

When not exploring Rhodes our alternate days were to enjoy Philip and Peter’s wonderful villa - which I know they are so very proud of and quite rightly so! The villa is a credit to them and their hospitality has been outstanding from booking the villa through to arriving home.

Thank you again for all your care and concern. One day we may be back...

A very special thanks to Philip and Peter from Angela and Ian Entwisle.

Hello Peter and Philip,

We are on our second day at the villa and we're enjoying it enormously! It is a beautiful place to be.

The villa is fantastic, with beautiful bedrooms (the beds are superb), a great living room and kitchen.

And what a great welcome you had prepared for us: a nice basket with food, nice things in the fridge and, of course, the delicious champagne!

The terrace is a wonderful place to be and relax, with the nice sun loungers and great sofas.

The pool is refreshing, but not too cold, clear and clean. Lovely to swim in and cool off, because it's 30 degrees here! The views are great, we can even see the people on the beach having a swim.

The details in / around the house and garden are beautiful.

We've never rented such a beautiful and special house. It's a special villa indeed!

We have already checked out the supermarket and some restaurants.

As you can hear: we're having a great time! And we have six more days to go....

Greetings from us all,

Siebrig, Jan, Genevieve and Marcel (by e mail on 14th May 2010)

Hi Peter and Philip

Thank You so much for letting us stay at your amazing villa!!! It is truly fantastic we couldn't have wished for more.

We have stayed in five star hotels but they were not a patch on what you offer at the villa.

Thank you both! It really is rare to find people, that you don't really know, to be so helpful.

p.s Roula's was a fantastic place to eat at. Friendly and great food! I did like the kiss I received from the waiter on the way out!!

Once again many thanks.

Annie

Dear Peter, dear Philip,

With time running by fast now we are back to our day to day routine now back here in Frankfurt the memories of our Rhodes holiday may fade away so it is time to let you have some comments.... We had a very relaxing week on a nice island with good weather. The villa was perfect! Classy furniture and dilegently placed tasteful decorations (and not too much of them either , they were just quite the right balance).

The villa was also clean on arrival. The water over flowing out of the pool was quite charming. The view from the terrace is truly impressive.

To sum it up: we had an excellent week at Villa Kalliopi.

We understand that you may stay in the villa later in the year. If so, we envy you!

Kind regards

Britta, Ferdinand and Ulrich

Hi Peter, hi Philip

We had a wonderful time at Villa Lindos Kalliopi and it was extra special in that it was the first time, as a family, we had been on holiday together for many many years. My Mother especially had a brilliant week as she does not travel overseas too often but just loved everything about the house and the area...especially the people and of course the villa which made her and all of us feel very settled and accommodated from the minute we arrived.

The villa itself is welcoming and beautifully decorated, quite different from other accommodation we have had in Europe - it is so uiquely styled. I particularly enjoyed the art despite not being any kind of expert and it complimented the ambience and feel good factor in the house. Each day we seemed to find another wee something of interest either in a painting or in one of your books which was always nice.

You have to be commended on presenting the house the way it is, beautiful and it felt almost like our own very quickly!! A real luxury holiday home from home!

Oh and all of us especially my children (aged 14 and 9) loved the pool area which was well utilised as the weather was superb for the week.

All in all we had a super time and maybe one day we can all get back together again to relive our wonderful holiday in your house.

All the very best to you both.

Cheers
David

Peter & Philip

What a wonderful time we had at Villa Kalliopi. Actually, even wonderful isn't the right word, there are no words to tell you what a beautiful home it is and what an unbelievable stay we had!

We drove from the airport to the villa with no problems. When I opened the door I was absolutely amazed! Your pictures depicted are exactly what the villa was like, I was overcome by emotion. Many tears flowed but it was all in happiness.

Thank you so much for the welcome card and hamper. It was extremely thoughtful and very generous.

The food market across the road we found had everything that we needed and we had most of our meals at the villa.

Shawn & I spent most of our time sitting in the sun, enjoying the pool and just relaxing taking in the scenery from the terrace.

We just didn't want to leave the villa, we felt so at home there.

The sunrise from the balcony was spectacular, see our picture below:

Image: Sunrise over the villa

We did go for a couple of drives to see the countryside and visited Lindos twice. What a wonderful town and so many shops carrying such a variety of items. We visited a couple of tavernas in Lindos and we found all the drinks and the food to be very tasty! We took the donkey ride up the Acropolis in Lindos. What a lifesaver the donkeys are and lots of fun. We then found a taverna with an open rooftop and enjoyed watching people starting off on their donkey ride up the Acropolis. So many people with so many different expressions! The picture below shows the views from one of the rooftop tavernas we visited:

Image: Rooftop view over Lindos

One evening we drove to Lardos and had dinner at "Roulas". Fabulous selection of Greek and international food. Lovely street side patio and terrific service. The drive was very nice, very winding roads through the countryside.

The weather was perfect (high 20's, mid 30's) and was perfect pool weather.

You should be very proud of your home in Rhodes and we cannot thank you enough for having the opportunity to stay there for a week. We plan to book another vacation for Rhodes and we hope that the villa will be available for our stay....

Hi Phil & Pete

Villa Lindos Kalliopi = EXCELLENT!! Well what else can we say? Where do we start??

This was a return visit for Carol, having stayed last year (2008) at the villa, but for me this was my first visit to Rhodes and the villa so much more than I expected. It was FANTASTIC, and so much so that is why we have straight away booked again to return to the villa for TWO WEEKS IN 2011. The only problem we could find was that one week simply wasn’t long enough! We now want to claim squatter’s rights!!

Carol found the villa to be still first class and pointed out some of the new improvements & additions you have made such as the GORGEOUS mirror in the lounge and the new outdoor sofas etc…

The villa lacked nothing – everything we needed was there, including superbly equipped kitchen and a great choice of DVD’s and books.

We were staggered how your gardens have come along since Carol first seen them 12 months ago. All your hard work planting has paid dividends as they have all come on greatly, offering even more privacy in lush surroundings. The lawn was in lovely condition, very green.

Kim Roberts the property manager was helpful when we had to call her for some local advice and we thought she presented your villa very clean & tidy for our arrival.

We managed to get out and about on Rhodes. The Italian spa at Kallithea was gorgeous and it was amazing the amount of work that has been done to restore this beautiful place. Rhodes Town itself was lovely to visit. Nearby Pefkos we enjoyed, and it has a lovely sunset over the sea. To dine out, you have suggested “Roulas” in Lardos to all of your guests and they seem to all enjoy it so we too gave it a try and it was simply spot on in every way, well worth a visit with excellent food that is we found to be very moreish and the staff were very pleasant. Rhodes has so many great places to visit and dine. For the explorer a car is a definite must, so much to see but not enough time to see it all. Lots of places we didn’t get to see but we will make sure we do next time.

We are recommending your villa to everyone we know and have already given some of your cards out to friends. And we have been showing work colleagues your web site.

In a nutshell - we can’t wait to go back in 2011 !!! What a fantastic time we had!!

Thanks for providing such lovely place to stay

Paul & Carol x

Dear Peter and Phillip,

From your welcome card and the food & drink pack that you arranged to have left for us on our arrival – to your helpful directions and recommendations of places to eat and visit - you have been excellent.

The villa interior touches are a real treat! As is the pool & the gardens. And as for the views from the villa – they are “to die for”!!

Image: Stuart admires the view of Vlicha Bay from the lawned terrace at Villa Lindos Kalliopi

Property manager, Kim Roberts, came to check we had everything we needed for our stay and was also very helpful, including offering numerous suggestions on beaches to visit etc….

By the way, during our stay you have had a brand new, permanent, outer gate installed on the approach to your villa and it works well, as extra security and keeping those hungry goats out!

We liked your well organized details of CD`s, books and games - and my brother enjoyed reading a book on how to improve his golf (no chance!).

During our week we dined at your suggestions of the “Melenos Hotel” in Lindos and “Roulas” in Lardos – both were excellent. We would also recommend the “Med-East” near Lindos square.

On our travels around Rhodes we also went down to the South of the island, Prasonisi, the beach where the two seas meet. The weather was great throughout our stay.

Thank you for all your thought and effort in making our stay at your lovely villa so memorable.

Our warmest thanks again,

Stuart, Margaret, Nick, Kathleen.

Dear Peter and Philip,

What can I say about your wonderful villa? “Simply Fantastic”.....

Recommended unreservedly; comfort, luxury and class from the moment we stepped through the door. Every detail has been thought of, from towels to toaster. The furnishings and decorative finish are excellent and the view from the garden is marvellous. When the sun gets too hot (and it does sometimes) this is a perfect retreat.

The main reason for our visit was my daughter's wedding in Lindos and the villa proved to be an ideal base. Our pre-wedding get together drew the same responses from our guests, “What a place”! “What a view”! And, of course, we could not resist the barbecue in the garden!

We had an amazing time and the Wedding far exceeded our expectations. The local photographers you suggested, Karen and Chris from Gallery Photography, were just brilliant! The picture below shows the Bride, my daughter Victoria, in your gardens.

Image: Victoria Ross, on her wedding day, at Villa Lindos Kalliopi

At the villa it's an effort to tear yourself away from the poolside, but a visit to nearby Lindos is well worth it. The narrow, winding streets are filled with friendly restaurants and bars each with their own history. A meal served out on one of the many rooftop dining areas, with the Acropolis in the background, is unforgettable. We truly enjoyed Lindos and hope to come back.

A mention of your neighbour Robert as well as he couldn't’ have been more friendly or helpful.

Congratulations on a beautiful house, in a beautiful location, on a beautiful island.

Kind Regards From,

Laura Ross

Hi Philip & Peter

We had been so looking forward to our holiday at your villa - as it all looked so perfect! We weren't disappointed! The weather was fantastic throughout our stay and we were able to dine outside on the terrace and then swim in the pool until late at night! Andrew says he has never seen me swimming in a pool in the evenings until this holiday and Gary was surprised to see Jill swimming at 8.00 am every morning – but with the pool being so warm and clean even we girlie's were happy to be doing this !!

Every aspect of the villa was designed for maximum comfort and the decor was lovely. When we arrived we just all wandered outside to admire the fantastic view of the bay! It was hard to drag us all away from the pool and the sun terrace throughout our stay as we all wanted to chill out and relax in such surroundings.

Image: Dining out - Villa Lindos Kalliopi style!!

We booked the villa as a holiday linked to a celebration of our 25th wedding anniversary. We were there with our children, Frazer, 17 and Jenny,14, and friends Garry and Jill (Garry had been the best man at our wedding 25 years ago). Villa Lindos Kalliopi accommodated the six of us easily, so spacious! And with six sun loungers no one needed to race down in the morning to reserve one! During the days we enjoyed putting on a CD in the Sony player (we could all agree on “Take That”) and relax by the pool & terrace, reading our books (including some from your book library).

Jill especially liked the little birds in the gardens, bathing in the water overflowing from the pool. While Frazer and Jen laughed at “Ice Age”, from your DVD library, we all had a toast with the bubbly you'd included in the welcome pack for us! Thank you!

We'd decided not to hire a car, instead using the bus to get into Rhodes town, Lindos, Lardos etc. What a laugh, we either missed the bus, couldn't find the bus (to Lardos) or, on our trip to Rhodes town, Frazer hurt his ankle and had to return home!!! It was about our sixth attempt before we all managed to get a bus together to where we wanted to go. It didn't matter though, as there were taxis to flag down on the main road. Nearby to your local supermarket is a little cafe that serves a great breakfast – with lovely pasties and cakes! The owners were always very friendly people whilst we waited for the next bus.

Those of us who managed to get to Rhodes town loved it - and its shops!

We arrived at Lardos one night to go to your recommended favourite and friendly restaurant, “Roulas”, and it was lovely, with very reasonable prices! To top it all it was a festive Greek night in the village and everyone was up for a party! (See our picture of Jenny dancing with Theo from “Roulas”)

Image: Jenny learns Greek dancing from Theo at "Roulas"

We really did love nearby Lindos though! Our favourite restaurants were “Alex's” and “Dmitri’s” - and each night we tried a different cocktail.

Back at the villa we found the property manager, Kim Roberts, to be very helpful and the pool was cleaned regularly.

Dealing with you, you both showed great customer service and went over and above to help with every detail of our stay.

We really wanted to stay for two weeks! We were sorry to leave Rhodes, your villa and the sunshine! But we all left knowing we had enjoyed a fantastic time!

Hopefully we'll be returning again to Villa Lindos Kalliopi in the future….

Thank you.

Alison

Hi Pete and Phil,

The only word I can use to describe our first impressions of Villa Lindos Kalliopi is WOW!

I can honestly say that when we walked in, it was like walking into a brand new villa. Your property managers had left everything absolutely immaculately clean and so well presented - it was just OUTSTANDING!

The decor and your attention to detail is fantastic and you have thought of absolutely everything that anyone could possibly want - the welcome hamper waiting for us, with the bottle of champagne, was a lovely touch!

The swimming pool is amazing - we spent most days chilling by the pool until late afternoon, partly because it was so hot to venture too far until the midday heat was over, but mostly because it was just such a lovely place to be.

With the pool and those views - plus the fridge keeping our drinks so cool....why would we want to venture anywhere else?!!

Kim Roberts, your property manager, came to visit us the day after our arrival and she was very nice, and very knowledgeable about the area.

All in all it was a fantastic holiday - Rhodes is a lovely place and we hired a car to explore the island, but I must say that it was your Villa that made the holiday for us! I just wish we could have spent a fortnight there!

I could go on all day about how fantastic it was! You must be really really pleased with the end result - and rightly so too!

Thank you so much for everything! When we plan another trip to Rhodes we'll definitely be back in touch! We've been telling all our friends about the villa too!

Thanks again for making it so fantastic - it's a credit to you both!

Best wishes to you both

Nadia, Lance, Jess, Beth, Sonia and Lewis

What can I say??? Steve's face when we arrived at the villa was worth the wait!! I had spent the last 18 months looking at your web site and I had a picture in my head of what I expected… and I was not disappointed! It was so much better than I could ever dreamed of!! Steve did not know what to expect as he wanted it to be a surprise! All he kept saying was “WOW”!

The attention to detail could not be faulted. The interior design was stunning and as soon as we arrived we wished we had booked for two weeks instead of one!

Property Manager Kim Roberts met us on the first morning to check everything was ok for us. The pool cleaner, Lee, visited 3 times, but he was so quiet we did not even notice him.

The swimming pool was a god send as the thermometer in the garden, at some points in the day, reached 47 centigrade!!! It was a bit of a game with us as to who would find the highest temperature during the day.

The views from the villa are spectacular and we would spend time in the evening with a glass of wine just stood at the end of the garden looking out over the bay. This picture is me and my sister, on the lawn, with that lovely view:

Image: Korine and sister enjoy a drink on the lawned terrace, overlooking Vlicha Bay

We loved your choice of DVDs and had great fun watching the likes of “Fawlty Towers”!

The party and BBQ we held on the Saturday was a lovely way for all our families to get together and meet each other before the wedding. All of their faces when they arrived at the villa were a picture and one I will not forget! We felt like royalty! The kids loved the pool and, actually, so did the adults.

Image: Enjoying the pool at Villa Lindos Kalliopi, August 2009

We met your butcher in Lindos who was a character - with his huge meat clever!! How he did not cut his fingers off is beyond me. For the BBQ we brought enough meat to feed a small army. However it was all eaten just as quick!

The next picture is of me, my two sisters and my dancing teacher! We were trying to remember "The Dance of the Four Swans" from "Swan Lake"! The wine was flowing freely by this point!!!!

Image: "Swan Lake" is performed at the villa !!

The family ate at “Ceasers” and we also enjoyed a meal at “Alex's” in Lindos. We did not eat out a lot as we enjoyed just sat out by the pool - drinking wine and eating olives. I think we survived on a liquid diet!!

The wedding day came round so quickly and the villa was wonderful to spend the morning relaxing by the pool - and then kicking Steve out at about 3 o'clock! Walking down your marble staircase, in my wedding dress, I felt like a princess!

I think the wedding was one of the hottest days, and although the photos don't show it I know we were all very, very hot indeed. The boat trip we arranged for afterwards cooled everyone off, which was lovely.

Image: Steve and Korine

The Lindian Gulf Hotel, close to the villa, where we had the reception could not have been a more perfect wedding venue. The manager was wonderful and the hotel already had entertainment on that evening (It was not supposed to be part of our wedding). The look on the boys faces when the dancing girls started to kick their legs was a picture! It ended a perfect day.

I can not thank you enough! We would love to come and visit again. Now we have been spoilt I do not think we could ever do a package holiday ever again.

Thank you again

Korine and Steve

Hi Guys,

We are home and very sad!! We had a fantastic time. The sun shone constantly (boy was it hot!!) The villa was lovely and the views to die for, its just not the same in our back garden!

The pool was fabulous and a lovely temperature, many an hour was spent just wallowing!!

The villa was spotless and arrival package very welcome. The two taxi`s you arranged to collect us were on time and the drivers full of helpful advice.

We ate out a lot. We found numerous good restaurants in Lindos, "Olympia" one of our favourites. It has to be said the best was a little restaurant your neighbour Tim took us to - it was slightly inland, VERY Greek and had no menus!! But half the price.

Anyway, suffice to say we had a BRILLIANT time and you may well see us again!

Take care for now.

Wendy, Francesca, Alison,Lily and Cherie XXXXX

Image: The gardens continue to mature at the villa, the oleander producing an abundance of flowers.

The banana tree in the front is growing nicely, as are the many cacti and other succulents. As a result there is a delightful increase in wildlife. There are many small geckos in the garden and the pool area is often visited by tiny chaffinches, delicately dipping their beaks in the moisture around the pool. Throughout our stay we were delighted to be joined early morning and evening by several swallows skimming the surface of the pool elegantly and efficiently.

We were swimming in the pool one evening when our attention was drawn to a glorious aroma from our neighbour’s garden. It was dark and he explained that he was pulling up some herbs from his little herb garden while it was cool. Far too active a chore in the hot sun! It was nice that he remembered us from last year.

We noticed some lovely new additions to the villa this year. The dark wood sideboard containing the wide selection of books and games is very stylish , as is the beautiful mirror and occasional table with the very classy flower arrangement. The new artwork and statues dotted about the villa are lovely and little touches like the pretty little guest soaps were much appreciated. Also, outside, we love the elegant and very comfortable new garden furniture.

Most evenings we ate at what we know is your favorite restaurant, "Roula’s" - this really is a delightful, family-run restaurant in nearby Lardos, a short, easy drive from the villa. This restaurant offers so many delicious dishes that we were spoilt for choice. Our favourites were Lamb Kleftiko, Beef Stifado, Mousakka and Lamb Pita Pie. Only Sam, who joined us with his partner Rachel in the last week of our time at the villa, ventured near the whole Rack of Ribs. He actually finished the whole thing and ate dessert! We didn’t often manage a dessert but I can recommend the mini chocolate crepes.

Image: Anniversary celebration at Roulas

On our wedding anniversary, Sam colluded with the staff at "Roula’s" and I was presented with a huge bouquet of red roses and a rather nice bottle of wine. We were even joined by our friends, Jean and Don with their daughter Louise who happened to be staying on Rhodes at a hotel near the villa. How perfect is that? We had a lovely evening. Many thanks to our friends Mike, Maritsa, Theo and Yannis at "Roula`s".

We repeated our trip to St.Paul’s Bay on the Glass Bottomed Boat. This time I surprised myself and went swimming in the sea when we stopped to take in the scenery. We discovered more beaches – Agathi Beach and Plakia Beach with their golden sand and clear , calm waters and Kalathos Beach, which is rarely very busy and has lovely waves to play in. The views of Lindos from the boat are amazing. Recommended!

Image: Boat trip at Lindos

We visited our friends from last year in Castello’s Taverna in Kalathos (walkable from the villa but less than five minutes by car ). Mama, Billy, Fedon and Angelos remembered us from last year of course. We keep in touch via Facebook!

Image: Traditional Greek lady at the nearby Castello`s Bar!

We visited Lindos by day and by night – dining in two rather nice rooftop restaurants, "Hermes" and "The Delight". Steve’s health prevented him from climbing the Acropolis but Sam and Rachel took some fantastic photographs of their trip up this incredible monument of the Ancient Greeks. We were also pleased , and rather relieved, to see and hear how well the guides look after their donkeys.

We had a couple of really nice barbeque's at the villa. It would be a crime not to make use of this impressive facility. We purchased meat from the butcher’s in Lardos and made a very special night of it on one occasion, watching, singing and dancing along to the provided DVD`s "Mama Mia" on blu-ray, followed by "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" into the early hours. It was a brilliantly fun way to enjoy being with family in what we consider one of the most beautiful places we’ve ever visited. Which is why we keep on coming back!

Can we just add we found Kim Roberts, property manager from Savvaidis & Associates, to be very efficient and she responded to all our questions. We can tell without any doubt that you have the best person to manage your villa on Rhodes.

Image: Jeanette, Steve and Sam, plus Theo from Roulas

Philip and Peter, thank you so much for sharing this special place. You’ve promised even more delightful things for next year but I cannot imagine how on earth you can possibly improve the villa. It is the most wonderful base from which to explore this beautiful island. It goes without saying - we will be back…..

** Jeanette and Steve straight away have booked to return for 3 weeks at the villa in 2011! **

Dear Phil and Peter,

The Villa is absolutely beautiful, we wanted to forget the real world for a week, and throw ourselves into a world of jelly like relaxation. And that is exactly what we did - it was impossible not to....

If I could compare Villa Lindos Kalliopi to a car it would resemble an Aston Martin, classy, modern, stylish and sexy - and it goes from stressed to relaxation in 3.5 seconds!!

The Villa catered for all, very grown up, but with a PlayStation 3 in the corner and a flat screen television - perfect with the great selection of DVDs you offer, especially watching the film "Mama Mia" on Blu Ray!

A perfect way to wake yourself up in the morning (after a heavy night of Mythos and Feta Cheese) is to jump into that lovely pool - as we did every morning about 9.30, just as the temperature reached 40 degrees in direct sunlight. Deep enough to dive into but also shallow enough to just sit and sunbathe in - the private pool is luxurious.

I spent sometime searching through the vegetation in the Villa's garden in a hunt for the beautiful friendly wildlife it possesses. For example little finger sized lizards, crickets and, flying over, flocks of lovely Swallows and Robins.

The Villa is beyond anything I could dream of achieving myself (well who knows.........one day).

We went to the top of the Acropolis at Lindos on a donkey and also back down, but was happy in the knowledge that the donkeys do get a day off in between shifts and they are also given water at the top of the mountain, otherwise there was no way Rach was getting on it! (see picture below)

Image: Rachel and Sam, by donkey to the Lindos Acropolis

At the summit, above Lindos, the Acropolis and the surrounding views are truly amazing:

Image: Sam & Rachel at the Lindos Acropolis

The restaurants serving traditional Greek food were amazing, hence we ate Greek for the whole week. In particular 'Roulas' in Lardos, which as well as serving amazing cuisine, offered extremely hospitable service and we have now become friends on Face-book with Theo and Mike from there, the picture below shows the four of us with the "Roulas" team:

Image: Roulas Restaurant - Lardos, a short drive from the villa

We have also kept in touch with Mariza's son, Fedon, from nearby "Castello's". Your pool cleaner Lee was really friendly too.

We have to say though we did tend to stay at the Villa a lot in the afternoons for obvious reasons.........ITS BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!

Myself and Rach loved it all! Every minute of it! We would definitely go back and are now talking about a Wedding in St Paul's Bay.

Stay in touch.

Love Sam and Rachel

x

Hi Peter and Philip

Rhodes and particularly your villa were wonderful!

The villa was everything we anticipated it would be and the pix on your website do it justice. Every morning waking to those stunning views of Vlicha Bay was a complete tonic.
We could hardly get the girls to tear themselves away for the odd days sightseeing! They simply fell in love with the villa and pool.

We enjoyed every minute of it. The decor and all the furnishings and fittings were of excellent quality and I can honestly say that it was one of the best standards of accommodation we have ever stayed in - and we have travelled a lot! We could see what a labour of love it has become for you and quite understand why.

Property manager Kim Roberts was always very helpful.

For the girls we did end up going to the Amphitheatre one night! I am ashamed to say that I ended up falling asleep on one of the comfy couches with John whilst music was pounding in my ears. We wouldn't leave them and didn't quite manage dawn despite the spectacular location and left around 4.30am! They loved it of course.

We also ate several times at your suggestion of "Roulas" in Lardos which was everything you said it would be with the friendly staff and excellent value food.

One of the best meals we had was at the "Ambrosia restaurant" (with the best moules I have ever eaten!). We also loved the restaurant "Broccolino's".

We did manage to prise the girls to Prassonissi beach which I totally loved. It reminded me of some of the spectacular beaches we have been to on the west coast of Portugal.

Honestly we had the best time and none of us will ever forget the wonderful two weeks we had there. It really is such a gorgeous location and place, I bet you find it really hard to tear yourselves away after being there? My daughter cried when she got home as she was so deflated at coming back to reality!

Thank you so much to both of you for letting us stay there.

Look after yourselves and thank you so much for all your help and support throughout the booking. BTW the welcome basket was a lovely touch and we really appreciated it along with the card :-)

We had the best holiday we have had in many years and would have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending the villa to anyone for a fantastic and relaxing stay.

Very best wishes

Non

Dear Peter and Phillip

We arrived at the villa 1.30 a.m on the Sunday morning - tired and very hungry, but on turning the key and entering the villa we thought we were in a pop stars "crib"! (Caitlin's words in reference to "MTV`s Cribs" - a show about the beautiful homes of celebrities!) It was FANTASTIC! It was also VERY BEAUTIFULL to see the pool all lit up as we looked out! And best of all you had arranged FOOD to be left for us in the fridge and in cupboards! Ice cold CHAMPAGNE to toast our arrival was also waiting!! I could go on and on....

The views at the villa are to die for! And as for Dad he has got the most fantastic suntan on one leg and one arm! He sat in the same chair in your outdoor living area, under the shaded terrace, all week! In his words: "The views from here Kev are fantastic!!" with his binoculars poised at the ready (yet another extra added by you guys).

Dad also found the easy access to the toilet and wet room / shower room downstairs very accommodating.

It was HOT outside and lovely and cool inside!

The interior decor is stunning and VERY stylish - both upstairs as well as downstairs. The kitchen is very well equipped. Music, video games all on hand and plenty of DVD`s (it was a real luxury catching up with episodes of "Doctor Who", that are provided at the villa, as Caitlin and Linda always miss half a series between them!) The Internet access that you provide was great for Caitlin! COLD beer in the fridge for me! LUXURIOUS sunbeds for Linda! Dad in his favorite outdoor chair - in short - everybody was catered for! LUVLEY JUBBLY !!!!!

The day of the family wedding was more than I or Linda could have hoped for - and the same for the bride and groom, Lauren and Rob. The church was like a film set and the words spoken by the town clerk were so poignant (not a dry eye in the house)!

Thanks for your suggestion to use the photographers Chris and Karen from Gallery Photography as they were soooooooooo very helpful and kind.

** For more information on the Rhodes based "Gallery Photography", mentioned above, CLICK HERE **

Your back up team you use in Rhodes (Savvaidis & Associates Property Management) did not let you down. Kim had made sure that the cleanliness throughout was faultless and the attention to detail was perfect! We asked Kim for more time to vacate on the departure day and we were given till 12 noon - FANTASTIC service!

Thank you for all your advice, kindness and patience in helping us with all our preparations. We have really enjoyed our correspondence over the (almost) two years.

I can also say, from this short stay AND thanks to the two of you, I am now closer to my Father than I have ever been before! x

Once again - THANK-YOU, THANK-YOU, THANK-YOU!

Kevin and Linda Ball (a.k.a The Balls!)

** We are pleased to say that the Ball family enjoyed their first vist so much they have immediatley booked at return visit for summer 2010! **

** Contact us today to secure your dates! **

Hi, we have just returned from a 2 week stay at the villa, during which time we were married.

On arrival at the villa we found it to be much more than we expected. This villa is beautifully decorated and the views are breathtaking.

We received a fabulous welcome hamper that was more than enough to enable us to have something to eat and drink without dashing out to a shop on the first night. We also found left for us a lovely card wishing us well for our wedding from Peter and Philip.

During our stay we hosted a BBQ for our friends and family who had flown out for the wedding. The BBQ facilities are fantastic and were big enough to feed a large group.

It was the perfect setting for celebrating our up coming wedding.

Here we are on this picture taken on our wedding day, at St.Paul's bay in Lindos - a couple of minutes drive from the villa:

Image: Kirsty and Andrew - marry at Lindos, St. Paul`s bay. June 2009

Kim Roberts, the property manager from Savvaidis & Associates, was fantastic! She called around on our 2nd day to introduce herself and she also gave us many tips about places to visit etc.... We found that the villa and the pool were kept clean and tidy by the property management during our stay. Kim was instantly on the end of the phone should we need her and when we woke up one morning to realise the electricity had gone off she was quick to reassure us that it was temporarily off across all of the island.

The support Peter and Philip offered from the moment we made our booking 18 months ago was fantastic. They were always there to answer any questions, arranging for our private transfer from the airport etc.... It really gave our holiday the personal touch you don't get from travel agents.

Thanks

Kirsty and Andy Bryan

Peter/Philip...

The villa was amazing...I heard that Lewis's jaw hit the ground when we arrived..!!

The food hamper was very welcome and well 'appointed'.

The villa was very clean.

Every day the sun shone and the temperatures were up in the 30's!

The pool got a lot of use especially from Amber who has webbed feet now(!) I was in the pool and a flock of Bee-Eaters flew over..maybe eight of them....

Your wireless Internet connection worked very well.

Thanks for the bottle of bubbly.

We went over to Pefkos one evening and ate on the roof of the "Enigma" restaurant...and an other restaurant in the village, above the bakery, was also very good!

The vows went very, very well. Charlotte (wedding planner from "Exquisite") managed to get it changed to Friday evening at 5.45p.m, which enabled us to get an evening booking at the restaurant at the Melenos Hotel...it was idyllic and we had such a great time! Christine was smitten...

The picture below was taken at St. Paul`s bay in Lindos for the vow renewal...with all the crew:

Image: Lewis, Katrina, Christine ,Amber ,Chris and Rosella at Lindos St. Paul`s bay celebrating the vow renewal.

Thanks again. All the best to you both

Regards and warmest, Chris and Christine

Hi Guys

Thanks for all the information on the lead up to our stay.

We were quite tired when we arrived but were very pleased to find ourselves in such comfortable surroundings.

You have certainly made this place lovely.

Denise loves the gardens at the villa (she is a florist/nurserywoman) and in particular the beautiful roses.

We had a great week.

Best regards

Stephen

Hi Peter and Philip,

Please find below our feedback from our stay at your villa:

Peter and Philip you are the perfect hosts of Villa Kalliopi, the welcome basket waiting for us was indeed most welcome, containing breakfast and the vital tea making ingredients that you must have when you arrive in at seven in the morning! The bubbly went down nicely too.

As pre-arranged with your help, the car hire company rep. arrived on time at the villa and the car itself was just right.

Kim Roberts the property manager was lovely when she finally managed to catch us in, and we could assure her we had had no problems.

The PlayStation was very useful first thing in the morning for keeping the kids amused, big and small!

Also very useful was the wireless broadband access provided, especially when it came to online check-in for going home.

As to the villa, words cannot quite do it justice and everyone in our party agreed it was truly luxurious and that a lot of thought and attention had gone into the decoration, plus marks again to Kim and the property managers as it was spotlessly clean.

The views from the villa are fabulous and it was only the urge to explore that dragged us away from the well kept gardens and poolside. The pool was a bit chilly but it was only the start of April and still the children were happy enough to get in at the end of a day walking about Rhodes numerous ruins.

We found many lovely restaurants wherever we went, and one on the west side of the island near to Kameiros which would be ideal if you had young children since it had a large play area and a shaded terrace with sea views. It's always worth remembering that many of the archaeological sites and museums are shut on Monday- but this gives you a great excuse to go shopping in Rhodes old town!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the villa and can recommend you both as organised and helpful hosts.

Thanks again.

Caroline Corfield.

Hi lads,

We had such a wonderful time!

When we reached the villa and beheld it in all its glory.... and what a sight when we entered through the front door and tried to take it all in!

You've done a cracking job there, and we felt very welcome indeed!

We met Kim (Savvaidis & Associates Property Manager) on the Sunday and we found her very helpful.

We certainly got around Rhodes when we were there, travelling in our hire car to all parts of the island!
For car hire we went through Economy Car Rentals, and got a car from AutoUnion car rentals. It cost around 182 Euros for a big Ford Focus for the week. The rep met us at Rhodes airport at gone 10pm and within minutes we were sorted!

I think my wife and I fell in love with Lindos. The narrow streets and white buildings from the past were fantastic! A keen student of ancient history and the classics, I found the atmosphere simply wonderful as I walked where once the Olympians trod!

A good restaurant we used in Lindos was "Dionysos" - great service and good value for money.

Ah, I could go on and on about our trip and your fabulous villa....!

At the villa I would sit for ages with my book, but often do little reading and instead gaze out to the hills across the bay.

But if I start to wax eloquent then I won't stop! Going back to work was a real problem for us.

Joanne and I even started to look at properties there. You know, just in case...

So, thanks again for making us feel so welcome. We would certainly look to coming back again.

Colin, Joanne & the kids

Dear Peter & Philip,

What can we say about your beautiful villa?! Truly 5 STAR rest and relaxation, in a perfect setting.

So many of your reviews mention the fabulous decor, the superb facilities and the amazing view - as soon as we arrived we discovered none of them are wrong, or even exaggerated.

Your taste and style pervades the villa, everything is so carefully designed and put together. Not only does it all look fantastic, but the villa is so comfortable and perfect for the relaxing holiday we were in need of.

The warm October evenings were so welcoming and the glow from the pool lights added to the ambiance (see our picture below).

Image:

We just wanted somewhere to relax and unwind, lying by the pool with the sun, the wine and the music - this was just what we were looking for....

Gazing into the sky one afternoon we were amazed to even see an eagle soaring over the hillside!!!

Those amazing views also hold the eye from everywhere inside the villa. It was wonderful to wake up and have breakfast - sitting out on the balcony and watching the sun rise and sparkle on the med!! This picture (below) we have taken capturing it perfectly:

Image:

You really have thought of everything, the best self catering standards we have ever seen, not once did we say 'Oh I wish we had....', your attention to detail is fantastic! We watched DVDs from your collection, read books from your library and listened to music.

We slept well, the bedding is very high quality. We spent most of our time just relaxing in the villa and in the lovely gardens, there really was no need to go anywhere else! We ate in a few nights, buying food in the supermarket and dined outside....

Thank you again for your thoughtfulness and care, we will recommend your villa...

...we really feel that this is not just ANY villa....this is Villa Lindos Kalliopi!!

Love from Pat & Anne

Dear Peter and Philip

We would like to express our thanks to you both for letting us stay in your beautiful villa. It was absolutely gorgeous! The villa was stunning, it didn't disappoint in the slightest. Everything was perfect. Thank you so much.

The furnishings were beautiful (we could certainly tell you were interior designers!) It was very hard to tear ourselves away from the villa and even though we did manage to visit a few beaches, we were more than happy to return to the villa and relax by the pool with a book and a glass of wine, admiring that perfect view.

The villa was extremely well equipped.......you really had thought of everything. Thank you for the welcome basket and the wine (went down a treat!) and the lovely card for us..........it was a really lovely personal touch, which meant a lot.

We can honestly say, this was the loveliest villa we have stayed in and we have recommended it to friends and family, work colleagues and just about anyone who would listen!

Your pool and garden maintenance team (from Savvaidis & Asscociates) of Chris and Roley were superb. They were so helpful and knowledgeable about the local area and the island as a whole. They were so easy to talk to and looked after the gardens and the pool so very well...... lovely guys.

The villa was spotless and on our last day we met Kim and also Roley's wife who were both lovely. Your property team are a credit to you.

We had a lovely meal on one of the rooftop restaurants in Lindos and took a trip to Pefkos and Lardos. The locals were all so very friendly.

The weather was excellent and on our last night we were treated to an amazing thunder storm.........perfect!

Thank you so much again for everything. You have both been superb. It was a shame our paths didn't cross at the airport as it would have been lovely to have met you both so we could have said thank you in person.

We so wanted to stay in your beautiful villa for longer....We were gutted to leave!

Again a big thank you to you both

Kindest regards

Tracey and David

Greetings Peter & Philip!

I think I can speak for all of us when I say our week was definitely not enough time...in the little piece of heaven you have created! Our week flew by!

We enjoyed every minute of our holiday and our accommodation, your beautiful home, really made our holiday extra luxurious.

For as long as I live, I do not think I will be able to forget the feeling your home filled me up with after we finally arrived at your doorstep after our long journeys. When we opened the door to the sight of your well-lit pool through the glass patio doors and found the basket filled with Champagne and your hand written card welcoming us all! We all were taken back a bit by the genuine hospitality and could not say enough warm words.

We were more than pleased with every detail. We were floored! It was so perfect we had a hard time wanting to leave your Villa each day. It was so comfortable and gorgeous. For that very reason, I am more than honored to add this to your 'guest review' link on your website.

In my humble option, it is by far the best place to stay in all of Rhodes! We have nothing but kind words to say. In fact, Rachael-Ann may be in contact with you both soon enough to book another stay! Her mother fell in love with the pictures on your site!

Again, endless thanks for welcoming us all into your beautiful home. Your home truly made our holiday.

You have done a wonderful job perfecting your Villa and your passion for decorating shines through in all the little details. We could not stop commenting on the little stenciling touches and choice of hanging artwork...and, from seeing the picture of your cat, we only wish we could meet Sophie. She is gorgeous!

Sheer perfection! We can not thank you enough. It truly is a holiday that will forever be etched in our minds as 'one hell of a good time'!

I wish to be in further contact with you in the future. I hope to stay again!

You both have been dears through all out correspondence!

Thank you, thank you, thank you!

-Christine

Dear Peter & Philip,

GOLD STARS to you both! Your Villa is EXCEPTIONAL!!!

We have just returned home to (cold and rainy) North Wales after a wonderful holiday in Rhodes. We arrived at the Villa Lindos Kalliopi on the Saturday afternoon, after having spent three days in Rodos, taking the sights of the Old Town and Harbour, visits to the spa at Kallithea and the monastery at Fillerimos. Instead of taking the main road from Rodos to Lindos we took your recommendation of a detour across the mountains through some of the most beautiful scenery we have ever witnessed. However nothing can match or prepare us for the spectacular views from the terrace of the your fabulous Villa overlooking Vliha Bay.

We had seen the photographs of your Villa on your website but those photographs cannot do it justice – it has to be seen to be believed. Everything about it is perfect. The spacious living area downstairs with gorgeous soft furnishings, satellite TV, DVD player (at night we watched a few of your extensive collection of DVD’s – only when we could not marvel at the views when the sun had gone down!) The kitchen is very well equipped and everything we needed was there.

This picture shows the three of us in your lovely living area:

Image: Peter, Dolly and Janet at the villa.

The terrace area is wonderful and we enjoyed sitting out there to dine so we could enjoy the views of the garden, the fantastic swimming pool and then out across Vliha Bay (although you can still see the same spectacular views from inside too! You can never escape them thankfully!)

We found the bedrooms to be very spacious and comfortable. We loved that the upstairs bedrooms lead to the balcony overlooking the terrace - and we have wonderful memories of watching the sunrise across Vliha Bay every morning.

One of our many sunrise pictures, this one taken on a very warm October morning. It is truly spectacular and is something that shouldn’t be missed:

Image: Sunrise over the villa. October 2008

I walked down from the Villa to the beach at Vliha, which took about 7 minutes. And this was often stopping to take photographs as the views are just that good! It also only takes 5 minutes to walk to the local supermarket – and that too was excellent. Perfect for such a self catering break.

The information you provided about places to visit was very helpful because it meant we were able to see a lot of places that people don’t normally get to see. It was also great to find that Lindos and St. Paul’s Bay are only a few minutes drive from the Villa and are both well worth visiting. Lindos, with its narrow, winding streets is truly delightful and we found many lovely restaurants and shops to visit. The only thing I didn’t get a chance to do was to climb to the top of the Acropolis in Lindos. That is top of my list for our next visit!!

Kim, the property manager, called in while we were there and she seems excellent at maintaining your high standards at the villa. The local people were all very friendly and very helpful and we met some real “characters” who we will remember for a very long time!

Mum celebrated her 79th birthday on the day before we left and in the evening we enjoyed a barbecue and champagne on the terrace. It was definitely a birthday to remember.

We all had a wonderful time at Villa Lindos Kalliopi and we were very sad to have to leave. We all look forward to returning again in the near future.

Thank you both for a very happy and memorable holiday.

xx Janet

Dear Pete & Phil,

What can we say? We have just had the most spectacular wedding day on the beautiful island of Rhodes. Overall, made more delightful in the surroundings of Villa Kalliopi. You truly have a unique and luxurious property in a delightful setting.

The villa took everyone’s breath away when we arrived as we were met with such immaculate interior and spectacular views. The villa accommodated both pre and post wedding celebrations perfectly.

Below are some some photographs of myself and the girls pre ceremony at the villa....

This one taken in the master bedroom....

Image:

...and this was taken on the lawn terrace at the villa:

Image:

The family spent lazy days relaxing by the pool and generally lapping up the luxury of the villa with its many cd’s and movies to enjoy.

William and I enjoyed the relaxation prior to our big day as it settled our nerves! The villa proved to be the perfect accommodation to get dressed on my big day as I locked myself in the master bedroom with my hairdresser (and air con!).

We would like to extend our thanks to you both for all your help prior to our departure with arrangements of transfers and the fabulous welcome basket which went down a treat! Thank you also for your kind words and champagne, it was very kind of you and much appreciated.

Ourselves and our guests are already planning returning next year to relive our experiences all over again! It was that wonderful!

Julie & William McMaster

p.s. we are all still whistling the toaster tune and missing it like the toothache ;-)

Hi Peter & Phillip

We all had a wonderful time, and I know that our surroundings played a large part.

The villa was so comfortable and stylish, and the whole family enjoyed relaxing by the pool and enjoyed the wonderful views over Vlicha Bay.

We were there for my niece, Emma's wedding. This picture (below) is of myself with son's James and Thomas at Villa Lindos Kalliopi just before setting off for the wedding:

Image:

It's been eleven years since both boys came on holiday with us, so it was lovely to have them with us again, with their partners.

The Villa was so spacious that we all were able to be together when we wanted but also had enough space to be alone if we wished to sit and quietly read.

We hired two small cars from the airport which came in useful when we wanted to go off and see family who were staying in Pefkos. We also visited Lardos and ate several times at Roulas, which we enjoyed.

Lindos was lovely and obviously popular for weddings! My niece and her husband Jason were married at St.Pauls Bay at Lindos (picture below):

Image:

To be honest we loved the Villa so much that we were loath to go elsewhere so we didn't get chance to explore the rest of the Island.

Thomas, James, Hannah and Karly did enjoy the nightlife in Lindos on a couple of occasions. They all thoroughly enjoyed the holiday, with Thomas declaring it the best holiday ever and can we do this every year?

Tony and I hope to return, and would certainly wish to stay in Villa Kalliopi again.

Thank you for providing such wonderful accommodation and we wish you every success in your venture.

With Best Wishes

Gillian Butler

Dear Peter and Phillip,

We just wanted to let you know we think your Villa was perfect for our holiday in Rhodes.

You really have thought of everything and it is the little touches (DVDs, music, furnishings, decor) that really make the difference.

We also found the villa to be in good order, your Villa managers having left it very clean and tidy for our arrival.

Here is Sophie, enjoying the weather and the views on the sun terrace:

Image:

We enjoyed your trip suggestions, and this picture shows us at the the lovely Austrian style hotel (Hotel Elafos), high up through the pine forests of Mount Profitis Ilias:

Image:

We also tried your restaurant recommendations, including the ones in nearby Lardos. And this picture (below) shows us visiting a lovely bar also in Lardos:

Image:

We thought Lardos was great for a family night out!

As you know, our trip was not without mishap (our hire car broke down at the start of our stay and Heather was taken ill near the end of the holiday) but we were delighted with the response of your Villa management company (Kim Roberts from Savvaidis & Associates) and the kind concern shown by you both.

Thanks again,

Stephen, Heather and Sophie (our son Joss dropped out because he's 18 and we would bore him!)'

Steve Durnan

We have been to Germany, Cyprus, Skiathos, Spain, Mexico (twice) and Thailand (visiting Bangkok and Cha-am). In Bangkok we stayed at "The Peninsula" - at that time voted the best hotel in the world. In Cha-am we even stayed at the magnificent "Dusit Resort". So we are no strangers to staying in the best accommodation! However, we feel after staying at Villa lindos Kalliopi we will never ever go anywhere else on holiday apart from Rhodes! In-fact we are are seriously thinking about "upping sticks" and "legging it" to Rhodes forever - family commitments allowing!!! We loved it all that much!

Before our arrival we knew we had a reliable taxi service waiting for us as soon as we landed, as they had been pre arranged with a local firm by Philip & Peter, so that prevented any potential stress upon arrival. The driver was warm, welcoming and informative about life on Rhodes. Later in our stay we also met up with his wife who was equally as welcoming.

On arrival at the villa we were truly ‘gobsmacked’ by the beauty of the location.

Image: Jeanette enjoys the pool & the views at Villa Lindos Kalliopi!

Villa Lindos Kalliopi is a heavenly place to stay! Tastefully and thoughtfully decorated. The attention to detail is to be admired, a combination of traditional Greek and modern European - all tastes catered for. Nobody could be anything but delighted with the ambiance of this home! Lots of attention to detail on just about anything you could possibly need, plus CD’s, DVD’s, PlayStation, large Plasma TV, books and games.

Many times during the day, and in the evening, we found ourselves sitting in silent contemplation just appreciating the view from the villa, whilst taking a much appreciated break from the hustle and bustle of our normal lives. Catching up on our reading or engaging in pleasant conversation with permanent neighbors Tim and Elaine and Robert and Pat (and also the people in the next villa)- and usually with a glass of wine in our hands! Heaven!

We were delighted to see the lovely new gardens maturing so quickly and we took a photograph that could well be the very first orange, off the little orange tree planted at the villa! Here it is captured for prosperity:

Image: The very first orange, off the new orange tree, at the villa.

Upon arrival we were greeted by Kim Roberts, Property Manager, whose team had left the villa immaculately clean for us. Kim also helped us out as we are avid Liverpool fans, so despite being desperate to settle in, we were also keen to see the friendly game versus Villarreal. Kim took us down to the nearby "Costello's Bar" in Kalathos - this was very kind of her and certainly more than was expected of her. At "Costello`s Bar" they hadn’t intended to show the game, but a few telephone calls later Fedon had arranged for the game to be shown whilst Mrs Vasilias had provided us with our first taste of Greek hospitality, in the shape of Tuna Salad, Gyros and a small beer. In fact, she also provides hire cars at competitive prices.

There are plenty of places to eat including nearby Lindos and Pefkos, but we particularly liked Lardos which has quality traditional tavernas like "Roulas", "Valentinas" and "Good Heart". Another favorite in Lardos was "Loukas", atmospheric on a warm summers evening, with great service and delicious food. See the picture below of the two of us at "Loukas":

Image: Over at nearby Lardos: Steve & Jeanette enjoy alfresco restaurant "Loukas".

There are also some wonderful beaches, Vlicha Bay itself is right below the villa, and we also enjoyed Plakia Beach, Charaki Beach, Pefkos Beach and Lindos Beach. We loved Glistra Bay, a beautiful, quiet, sandy beach with fabulous views, where you can swim with pretty little fish and calamari. The trip on the glass bottomed boat was wonderful, with the opportunity to swim in the clearest of blue waters near to St Pauls Bay, itself a beautifully romantic area.

Thanks to Philip and Peter for the wonderful villa and the wonderful holiday! Perfect!

( ** Jeanette & Steve re booked and returned to Villa Lindos Kalliopi in 2009. They subsequently booked a 3rd visit and will be returning in the summer of 2011. ** )

Yasoo Peter & Phillip

Where do I begin to start telling you both what a wonderful holiday we have all just experienced?

From the moment we pulled up outside the villa and then on opening the front door (the boys were so excited they could not wait so they both nipped around the back) we were all truly BLOWN AWAY. I personally didnt know where to look first! I think you can't help but be drawn to the pool and look over at the views - and all I can say is BREATHTAKING, absolutely beautiful! I felt so emotional I felt like bursting into tears with such happiness that I had found this villa and also the fact I had found you guys who have treated us so personally! THANKYOU for allowing us all this privilege to have stayed here.

The villa - on entering every room I just cannot express the sheer delight in seeing what you have both created. The decor was just fantastic, all I kept saying to Mark was "I want these wardrobes, and these lamps and this wallpaper" even our 19 year old said to Mark "Dad I think you have got a lot of re-decorating to do when you get home", but secretly I think he was thinking the same as he kept saying to me "you must message Peter and Phillip as soon as we get home and tell them what a fantastic place this is"! You have both excelled with the interior furnishings - stylish, elegant and of an evening your beautiful lamps created such a serene atmosphere.

You had thought of everything that anyone could possibly need. Firstly thank you so much for our welcome food basket we were all so hungry on arrival and this just sums you both up so well, thoughtful and generous to the last. The weetabix with milk and sugar went down a treat with a glass of wine at 4pm in the afternoon it was delicious. What a fantastic selection of films and Cd's you have, the boys have been kept well occupied watching the films and I'm off to HMV to buy Darren Hayes on CD after listening to it from your collection. By the way the toaster is hilarious I will miss that tune every time I do toast at home .

Every night we rang for Lindos taxi's from your villa manual (very quick service) to take us around to Lindos and we ate at some superb restaurants. I also happily shopped til I dropped buying pressies for the family at home. We really didnt venture any further than Lindos on this visit and this was only of an evening. I think when we visit again we will stay for 2 weeks and rent a car. We would really like to explore Rhodes and obviously we can't wait to return to stay in your villa, but for this 1 week stay, during the day, we really wanted to unwind and relax enjoying the pool and soaking up the sun. By the way the forest fires that were blazing a few miles away whilst we were there I can only describe as worrying at first but when we spoke to Chris he reassured us we were not in any danger. Mark would ask the taxi drivers as we drove into Lindos on its progress and they would always tell us "no worry only forest fire", it didn't seem to bother them in the least. We watched the sea boats and a Russian helicopter fly over the villa and down to the bay to collect the sea water to douse the flames, what a spectacular sight that was.

I would like to tell you that Kim, your property manager (Savvaidis & Associates Property Management), and Chris, your handyman were so helpful to us, it is so reassuring to know they are both only a phone call away. As you know I had a problem with the washing machine, but within an hour of phoning Kim, to let her know the problem, Chris was at the villa with his toolbox - now thats what I call FANTASTIC SERVICE.

Your neighbours, Robert and Pat, they were both so kind and helpful telling us not to hesitate if we needed anything to go over to them. The Greek boys next door were really friendly, waving to us and shouting hello every time they saw one of us!

I really could go on and on trying to convey to you both what a terrific holiday myself Mark and the boys have had this year. Mark and myself really do treasure these last few years of holidaying with our boys, as you know they are now 19 and 16 and they will be both off wanting their own holidays perhaps next year with their friends, but I would like to think we have found a place somewhere where our boys will always want to come with their boring old Mom & Dad for a relaxing holiday. They both really respected and appreciated this villa as much as us and I think I can honestly say of all the places we have been over the years, & we have stayed in some nice accommodation, your villa has exceeded anything we have stayed in before and we look forward to coming again.

Lastly I would like to thank you both for your total commitment in everything you have done for us. You are two lovely guys who have created a beautiful villa and are happy to share it with others - we are blessed to have been one of the many families to have found this place of beauty - we feel very lucky!

We will definitely be in touch.

Take Care

Julie, Mark, James and Lewis.

( ** We are thrilled to say that Julie, Mark, James and Lewis have now rebooked to return to Villa Lindos Kalliopi in 2010. ** )

Dear Peter and Philip,

I am happy to say we were all really impressed with your lovely villa.

The views were every bit as good as the pictures on your web site (obviously no trick photography there).

The gardens were very tidy and nicely kept.

The standards of furnishings and equipment levels were exceptionally high especially when we compare them to other villas we have stayed in in the past.

We had a fantastic time, with no sibling spats (thanks to the folding bed you arranged extra for us!).

Your property manager, Kim Roberts (Savvaidis & Associates) was excellent, any problems were rectified speedily.

We had a fantastic time in your superb villa and would not hesitate to recommend it to friends and family.

Good luck to you both.

Regards

Jenny and co.

Dear Peter and Philip,

We have just returned from our fabulous trip to Rhodes. Your villa has exceeded our expectations on every level.

Our holiday was absolutely fantastic.

The villa was equipped with all you could possibly want or need – loved the toaster!

The villa has really high quality fittings throughout. It did not feel in any way like a rental property. The standard of quality and attention to detail was second to none.

We made good use of the superb pool. Lying on the loungers overlooking the pool and beyond over Vlicha Bay was amazing!

The villa is in a superb location 5 -10 mins walk from the beach, with magnificent views and is very close to Lindos.

Everyone, including yourselves, has been a pleasure to deal with and/or meet. Even your Greek neighbours to the left were lovely – giving us fresh vegetables and chillies from their garden and taking our daughter Evie into their garden for a game of football!

The weather was around 30 degrees and we also had a heatwave for three days where it topped 50 degrees!

We made use of the BBQ with all meat bought from the local butcher.

The bar on the opposite side of the road further down from the butcher was a daily visit for a cold drink - friendly staff and a good place if you want a quick cheap lunch.

Thanks for the car hire tip! It was much much cheaper than any other quote I got!

Lindos we found to be a bustling town with a wide choice of restaurants and bars. For your future guests we recommend our favourite restaurants in Lindos, one is called Timi’s and the other is called Alex’s! Timi’s doesn’t have the greatest of views but has fantastic Cypriot mezze!

We toured quite a lot of the island, however the Acropolis was our favourite – early evening there were hardly any visitors, slightly cooler and just fantastic views. An absolute must for the first time visitor to Rhodes, like ourselves.

The best thing about our visit however has been the owners! Philip and Peter - you have both been really welcoming and helpful on the lead up to this holiday, offering tips on everything from car hire to places to visit. The welcome grocery pack when we arrived was much appreciated, particularly for our late night arrival.

I would have no hesitation in recommending Villa Kalliopi to our friends and family.

Thanks again for a wonderful holiday - you have both been great!

Dear Philip and Peter

We'd just like to pass on our heart felt thanks for the fantastic holiday we had at Villa Lindos Kalliopi....

From start to finish we couldn't have asked for more, the villa is perfect with all the luxury's required to ensure we had a very enjoyable holiday.

The basket of food and drink you left for us was a very welcome surprise when we arrived that evening.

A real highlight (given our night time arrival) was when we woke up the next morning and opened our curtains and we saw the breathtaking views!!

We can't speak highly enough about the villa and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone.

Great pool, fantastic location! The added extras like a playstaion 3, local guides/literature made the stay a very enjoyable experience.

Lindos itself is beautiful and we enjoyed a couple of evenings dining out in one of the many roof top restaurants. We also had a great tour of the Acropolis...

The area has something for everyone whether it's a pool side holiday, a beach holiday, sightseeing, water-sports etc... It is a place that has something for all generations and the local towns and villages are so diverse.

Your property manager, Kim (from Savvaidis & Associates), was a great help while we were there. We'd like to thank her for always being at the end of a phone should we need her, even for the smallest of our queries. We also thank her for her excellent local recommendations....

We had a brilliant week and we were so sad when we left.

Thank you both once again for ensuring we had what can only be described as a perfect family holiday......

Many Thanks

Paul, Kate, Cady, Barbara and John

Hi Peter & Philip

Our congratulations on all that you have done at the villa!

From the moment we walked through the door we knew we were in for a great experience. The choices that you have made on the villa do you credit.

The views are fabulous and, for me personally, especially lovely between 5a.m and 8a.m when the temperature was cool and the sun was about to show itself. I rise early and this was such a pleasure. I enclose a couple of snaps for you (shown below)

- this one is taken from the sun terrace, looking across the pool and to the emerging morning views....

Image:

- and this side view was taken zoomed in from the balcony, across your pergola and beyond, as the sun rises over the Mediterranean - the mountains of the Turkish coastline on the horizon!

Image:

The welcome basket you left for us hit exactly the right spot - with our late arrival allowing us food in the evening and breakfast the next morning. Just what was needed! Your local supermarket also has all we could ask for.

Your welcome books / guides are well prepared and presented and we could not wish for anything else in and around the house. The selections of DVD's, CD's, books and the games met all the needs of ourselves and our visitors.

We had some great BBQ's and had some local friends and neighbours around making for such a good time - lovely evenings. Meat, salad, bread from the local stores were all we could ask for.

We also had meals out on several evenings and were pleased wherever we dined.

The pool was a delight!

We were looked after so well by Kim and her staff (at Savvaidis & Associates Property Management).

Your neighbors Tim and Elaine welcomed us and were so nice taking us with them to the local bars etc...The Chelsea v Man United football game being our first outing!

We would not hesitate in recommending the villa to anyone!!

I would compliment you on your professional approach and you deserve to have people beating a path to your villa!!

Once again many thanks for sharing your home with us and I do hope all your visitors get as much pleasure as we have.

The family are rested and ready for the year ahead.

George

Peter and Philip:

Kaya and I had such a great time at your Villa.

Simply put - your villa is FANTASTIC!

You have a wonderful place. Everything was in perfect order!

We ended up spending most of our time at the villa either reading, relaxing, swimming, etc... Kaya was in her element in the pool!

Your support staff of Chris and Jane (Kim Roberts` Property Management team from Savvaidis & Associates) were wonderful.

We did tour The Acropolis at Lindos. Rhodes Old Town was fantastic.

We hated to leave Rhodes and we had the best time at your place, we honestly didn't want to leave. So very relaxing and you provided us with everything we needed.

Thanks so much and we'll be back! We have booked again for June 2009, although almost a year away Kaya and I are looking forward to our return. Keep in touch!

Magic!!!

Regards,

Kaya & Jim

Hi Peter and Philip

Everything was great! The villa was very comfortable for all of us. The furnishings make the difference, we were there a week and it is lovely to have a beautiful view and an attractive interior to appreciate.

Kim Roberts (Property Manager from Savvaidis & Associates) popped in the day after we arrived and we were also able to phone her with a small query, all communication regarding the villa was prompt, efficient and pleasant.

For car hire we contacted "George’s rent a car" in Lardos, and he came and picked us up at the villa to collect the car and also then allowed us to drop it off at the airport. He spoke good English.

There were lots of restaurants open in Lindos, with good food. We bought some excellent meat at a butchers in nearby Kalathos. We enjoyed some delicious baklava (sweet pastry made of layers of filo pastry) from a lovely bakery also in Kalathos.

We went for a drive to the South coast which was beautiful, fabulous views from Monolithos Castle. Visiting "off season" does have its benefits as when we went to Lindos a few times and Rhodes town - neither were too busy nor too hot. It is worth noting that the Lindos Acropolis is closed Mondays and only open from 08.30 to 14.40. There was lots more to see in Rhodes but we also just enjoyed the sunshine and sitting by your pool reading. And our daughter’s boyfriend did enjoy the play station 3!

A very relaxing holiday on Rhodes.

Thank you for the villa accommodation and for all of your help.

You made us, as guests, feel very special.

Christine

Hi Peter and Phillip,

We just wanted to thank you for a fantastic stay at your Rhodes villa. We had a really great time, and hope to be able to return in the near future.

The standards of the villa are outstanding!

The pool, sun terrace and gardens are superb. The best asset of the villa.

You were both extremely welcoming, and went out of your way to try and make our stay as comfortable as possible. We would highly recommend your villa to anyone interested.

The villa is beautiful with all the necessary extras to make anyones stay an absolute pleasure.

The sea & mountain views are incredibly beautiful.

Kim Roberts (Property Manager from Savvaidis & Associates) is excellent as is the cleanliness of the villa.

A top class place to stay, and a far superior option. Compared with other villa rentals this is the best villa we have stayed at.

We look forward to returning to your little piece of paradise in the future.

thanking you

Dear Philip and Peter

This is a beautiful villa and we have really enjoyed our stay here. The pictures and decorative touches make a huge difference, and all the equipment is splendid.

We`ve enjoyed the pool- both to swim in and to watch the swallows and house martins dipping down for a drink! The views, the goats, all the wild flowers and the noises of the donkeys and the owl (Philip says it is a "scops" owl).

We really appreciated your kind gift of the food basket, given our very late arrival.

We also had time for plenty of exploring Rhodes and have enjoyed the interior dirt roads- as you said all do-able. Found a lovely one from a monastery at Thari beyond Laerma through to Asklipio, beautiful pine woods, meadows and a river ford. Lovely. Need more time to fully explore!

We found a great fish restaurant at Stegna Beach, "Kostas", with delicious grouper.

Hope all goes well with the villa as a venture and best wishes to you both. Many thanks.

Catherine, Philip, Michael and Rupert.

Dealing with you we always received a prompt and very polite reply.

The villa has BEAUTIFUL decoration; high quality bedding; EXCELLENT "fitting out" of the villa (you have thought of EVERYTHING - book library, movies, playstation, kitchen items, kids items etc...)

Thanks again for a wonderful stay on Rhodes and for all your help.

PERFECT! Thanks a million guys...

GREAT JOB!

Dear Peter and Philip,

The Villa was beyond our expectations, the furnishings are beautiful. You did a fantastic job!!! Thank you for the basket of goodies – very much appreciated. Since this was such an important trip for our family, we couldn’t have asked for a more delightful place to stay. The kitchen was equipped beautifully. Everything we needed was there.

We enjoyed our trip immensely; saw most of the things we wanted to plus more. The information you left at the Villa was extremely helpful. We met some wonderful people – Kim Roberts (Villa Property Manager), your neighbors (the brothers, very nice guys), the gardener Chris, the butcher in Lardos – all wonderfully friendly and helpful. You might mention to other visitors that there is a butcher shop there (in Lardos) with a really great store next door with wonderful vegetables and fruits. The oranges were the best we have ever eaten, so sweet. We experienced some of the local restaurants in Lardos with again very friendly folks. We felt welcome everywhere we went. Here is one of our many family pictures, here exploring a synagogue...

Image:

- and another of Marcia and Leo paying a visit to La Fontana, your Greek neighbors shop in Rhodes Old Town! Here with Hassan, one of the brothers.

Image:

Many mornings we had coffee out on the patio and several nights sat outside and enjoyed the warmth of the evening. The site of the Villa is so wonderful, the view outstanding. We watched the sun come up in the morning and gazed up at the moon at night.

Actually with all the site seeing we did it was good that it was a little on the cool side. We explored the beaches, the old sites, went to the synagogue, castles, ancient ruins of Kamiro, etc., etc… We actually wished we had 3 or 4 more days because then we could have rested one or two days rather than being out everyday exploring. One morning we had a donkey at the gate that had broken from his tie. We took lots of pictures of him, including this one....

Image:

We have enjoyed our relationship with both of you. It was very easy to book the villa, you responded to every question we had expeditiously. We hope that another time in the future we have the opportunity to return to Rhodes and stay at YOUR villa.
